Zonex Systems manufactures a complete line of zone control products from a 2-zone residential zoning system to a Direct Digital Control (DDC) system that can handle up to 400 zones. We continue to develop new products and upgrade our existing product line to meet the needs of an ever-changing market. We have committed Zonex Systems to enhancing the performance of constant volume air conditioning equipment. Our customers are original equipment manufacturers, the engineering community, architects, contractors, building owners and consumers who want a comfortable and controlled environment. Zonex Systems manufactures its products at its plant in Huntington Beach, California.
Our History
Zonex Systems was incorporated in 1988 to manufacture simple control systems for the HVAC industry.
Our engineering group and allied companies have actively been involved in this business for over 45 years. In 1967 we developed a novel VAV system using fluidic technology. We marketed this product through Mammoth and Chrysler. We then sold this company to McQuay in 1975.
In 1976 we developed an analog/electronic version of the fluidic control system. We introduced this product to the market in 1977. We sold it through Carrier Distributors for five years. Then subsequently, the product sold through Trane for seven years.
In 1988 our founders formed Zonex Systems to manufacture a new patented control system for the residential and light commercial markets.
Zonex Systems manufactures a complete line of zoning systems. This line includes eleven unique zoning products from a two-zone residential system, wireless thermostats and a Direct Digital Control system that can manage up to 400 zones through IoT (Internet of Things). Zonex Systems manufactures its entire product line at our plant in Huntington Beach, California.
Our companies developed package unit VAV. We and our associates were involved in the development of Carrier’s VVT product. Tempmaster benefited from our technology in the development of York’s EZ Zone system. We also provided the basic technology for Trane’s development of the Vari-Trac system.
We continue to develop new products, such as VRF-VAV which provides the benefits of VAV zoning with the efficiency of VRF technology, and upgrade our existing product line to meet the needs of an ever changing market. We committed Zonex Systems and our allied companies to enhance the performance of constant volume equipment. Our customers are Original Equipment Manufacturers, the Engineering Community, Architects, Contractors, and Building Owners who want a comfortable and controlled environment.
